Masters of Norfolk 2015The Masters of Norfolk project has been completed, it involved travelling around the whole county engaging in as many outdoor activities as possible. It was a hugely successful project that engaged many young people is a wide variety of sports. The aim was to increase awareness of what is available in Norfolk along with improved fitness and confidence, the success of this project was measured by the response and feedback from the young people involved.
Working our way across the county, we went to Cromer where we joined the surfing school to learn how to ride the waves, we visited famous Norfolk landmarks such as Beeston Bump to do our own take on Gloucestershire Cheese Rolling and to Thetford Forest to walk among the trees on a high ropes course. Having the beautiful Norfolk Broads on our doorstep provided opportunities to do sailing, canoeing, wake boarding, raft building and wild swimming, Other activities included mountain biking, mountain boarding, caving, horse riding, kayaking, cycling, rambling, bush craft, rock climbing, ice skating, skiing, wind surfing, rowing, and roller skating. We even joined the Norfolk Gliding Club to view our beautiful county from the air .
