Respect4us is an alternative education provider working in partnership with schools across Norfolk and Suffolk.
It provides an alternative curriculum for young people who are struggling in the mainstream educational system.
We take KS2, KS3 and KS4 students with a wide variety of issues:
Those who have stopped attending school.
Those who need to be in a nurturing environment with individual needs met.
All young people are referred via their home school.
Respect4us is not a school, nor is it a vocational education provider. Our
approach is holistic and child-centred aimed at nurturing the young
person's confidence and identifying with them their unique qualities and
potential to be successful, happy and fulfilled young people.
Respect4us, Norwich, Yarmouth and Swaffham
Respect4us offers a course based on Behavior, Emotional and Personnel Development. Every young person who comes through our doors has the chance of a fresh start. Throughout their time with us we will work on why they are not engaging in school allowing time for reflection on behaviors and coaching on how to move forwards. We will work with everyone involved in a young person’s life to help them realise their own potential while improving their self esteem and well being.
The Department for Education states in the statutory guidance for local authorities the Alternative Provision should
"have good arrangements for working with other relevant services such as social care, educational psychology, child and adolescent mental health services, youth offending teams and drug support services etc"
Each half term you will receive a progress report showing both practical and emotional progress. These reports will give schools an accurate view of each young person who is placed with us.
We also offer the Asdan Awards, Sports and Leisure, Food and for the year 11's Functional Skills. We are passionate about promoting a healthy lifestyle and this is reinforced with the chance for them to try cooking. Alongside this they will develop the life skills that everyone needs.
Careers (IAG) are always a big part of any year 11’s time with us; working alongside their home school we do our utmost to make sure they have somewhere to move onto that suits them and their aspirations for the future. We have a very good programme that we improve on each year to make this happen. No one should leave education NEET.
